OVERVIEW ABOUT PROJECT GREEN VALLEY INTEGRATED SCHOOL

On July 30, 2021, a LifeStraw Community unit was presented to the teachers of Green Valley Integrated School in Kiamba. This will provide clean drinking water for the 203 IP Learners from the Tboli tribe in the area.

This project was made possible through a crowdfunding effort initiated by the Tigers Lead of Borromeo Insurance Agency, JCI Duwaling, WIN International Ministries and GiftingLife.

The most challenging part of implementing this project is the logistics. The school is accessible only by habal2x- a term used for motorcycles used in the mountainous areas in Mindanao. It is 17km away from their barangay hall and the water filter was carried on foot by hired men and it took them 3 days to reach the community.
